Portfolio Project-1 (Week 2)
With the debate on gravity, I realised that gravity is not only not regarded a condition for an object to work, but it is also the most crucial component in the majority of the objects we use in our daily lives. As I began to identify items that require gravity to function, I was astounded to discover how many things all around me relied on gravity to function.
The film 'Automata' depicted how the world would be in 2044, with radioactive radiation nearly annihilating humanity and ushering in the robotic cosmos. The situation of the Earth shown was highly realistic, with toxic compounds being carried by the rain, the metropolis being filthy, and much of the Earth being uninhabitable. I didn't think there was a villain in this film because Jacq was trying to save the robots in the end because he knew the truth about them and that they would never harm another human, and the ROC wanted to eliminate the kernel of these robots because they were afraid that they would one day overtake humans, which I thought was a fair point and that the action they took was justified.
The incident depicted above is a pivotal sequence in which the aggressive character of humans is vividly demonstrated, as well as the presence of emotions in the robot, as seen by the robot becoming insulted by the man's remark.
